What are the benefits of using technology across disciplines?
It is very beneficial to use technology across disciplines. Technology can be incorporated in a number of ways. In mathematics, the computer is beneficial because it can be used to input data and create graphs. Technology can be beneficial in science when performing lab activities. The calculator is especially useful during lab activities because it provides very quick solutions to math problems. In language arts the computer is beneficial because when typing a paper the writer can receive immediate feedback on spelling and grammar. In order to teach our students the importance of technology we must demonstrate the benefits of technology in our classrooms.
I agree that we need to demonstrate the benefits of technology in our classrooms if we want our students to be technologically literate. We need to be able to integrate technology accross the curriculum in order for students to gain understanding of the benefits of technology.
