Q: How can email be used to enhance communication in educational communities?
A: Email can be used to enhance communication because once an email is sent to someone it shows up in their inbox almost right away. Email is easy and convenient. Teachers can use email as a way to communicate with parents and it can also be used as a way for teachers to communicate with each other. Teachers can use email in a number of different ways. For example, teachers can email information about homework assignments to parents.
I agree, email is very convenient. It allows us to communicate without having to make phone calls for every little thing. It would get quite annoying if you had to keep calling or visiting someone over a matter that could be discussed through a series of emails.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree that email is easy and convenient! Parents are able to email their students teacher when something is needed or misunderstood. Likewise the teacher can email the parent if something is needed, and they are unable to talk on the phone. Email has changed the way we communicate as a society, in some ways it has changed for the better and some ways for the worse. I'm afraid that the kids of today are going to be lacking some essential communciation skills because of the amount of technology to which they are exposed.
ReplyDeleteEmail is an easy way to communicate ideas and thoughts quickly but it shouldn't replace face to face conversations if possible. It is very hard to read how the other person intends words to be taken without being face to face or at least video chatting.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Heather. Email is an easy way to communicate but I know that sometimes when I read an email the language that is being used can be confused because you don't know what kind of "tone" they are taking. Many times sarcasm is mistaken as being disrespectful.
ReplyDeleteEmail communication is evidently the most secure method of communication compared to letters and faxes. If letters or paper documents fall in the wrong hands, they may be misused which might prove harmful.

ReplyDeleteIt is a fast way to communicate to many with one post. I still rather talk with someone because you can tell a lot about how someone is feeling by the tone in their voice. Some people send emails that sound harsh by aware of this when posting.

Emailing, whether it is through a hotmail or yahoo address or on Facebook messaging, is so great. It is fast and easy and is almost as instant as text messaging. You can email people across the globe. That still boggles my mind.
ReplyDeleteE-mail is extremely convenient. It shows up instantly so there is no delay in communication. A much speeder alternative to snail mail!
ReplyDeleteEmail is such a common form of communication with parents in this day and age and its important to understand that what we send to parents cannot be easily taken away. Once you hit send on an email it is out there which is why it is so important to make sure the emails you send out are professional.
